Another Searing obit has come to my attention. There is more at: http://bit.ly/dXep8U “Robert Searing, 78, of Vestal, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel (the love of his life); his parents, Albert and Anna Searing; his brothers, Albert and William Searing; and his sister-in-law, Dorothy Searing.” This upstate NY area is where some of my early paternal relatives came from, so this is very interesting. If anyone knows more about the family history, or is interested in this families genealogy, please contact me.

David M. Searing, 62, of Coldwater, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Ashlie Searing We lost another one too. His name was George B. Searing, Oct 13, 1923- Nov 15, 2010. He was my grandpa, and was a wonderful man.

Not to be too morbid, but in researching a Searing obit I searched Legacy.com obit service and came across quite a few Searing obits: The link I had posted didn’t work. I think if you go here: http://www.legacy.com/NS/ and do as general a search as you can. I searched for ‘all states, all sources, last name Searing’ and it came up with 45 obits….haven’t had time to look them over, and some of them far back are only notices, but it has to be a good source of Searing info.
Sadly, we have lost another of the Searing women, from Longview, WA. Ms Searing’s link no longer works, but some of the information is: From the Legacy notice: ”She was born Nov. 8, 1927, in Krebbs, Okla., to Jim and Betty Alma (Jackson) Baldwin. The family moved to Rainier in 1932. Jimmie Jane was a graduate of Rainier High School.
She married “the love of her life” John Searing of Kelso in 1947. They were devoted to each other for 63 years, he survives her at home.” I will try to gather additional information as I can, as surviving children are mentioned.

From the Daily Reporter, Coldwater, MI comes an item on the passing of another Searing. Mr Searing passed on March 3, 2009, at the Community Health Center of Branch County. Bobby was born July 17, 1945 in Jackson to Robert and Elizabeth (Newell) Searing. Mr. Searing was a lifelong resident of Branch County. He attended the Union Church in Quincy and had worked at the former Midwest Foundry in Coldwater for a few years. Bobby enjoyed fishing, listening to music, telling jokes, and taking walks, especially to visit his many friends at the Coldwater “Tasty Twist.” Most of all he loved the time he spent with his family. A Universal man was killed in a Sunday evening (11/30) accident after a car he was riding in struck a tree at the intersection South 11th Street and Seabury Avenue in Terre Haute.Russell J. From time to time obituaries of Searings appear in my Google searches. I have added this catagory to make such items a matter of record in this blog. Obviously this is my choice, and I am happy to remove any posting that a family member or relative deems inappropriate. I hope this will be a repository of honor and respect.
